Dresscode & Etitquette

All members and visitors are required to abide by the following minimum dress standards. It is the responsibility of club members to ensure their guests are aware of dress regulations.

Men - Course

Neat casual dress is required.

No sporting shoes, thongs, sandals or singlets.

Men - Club House

Neat casual attire is required at all times. 

No sport shoes, thongs, brief or beach shorts, dirty work wear, overalls, tank or siglet tops, tee-shirts with bold advertising or tracksuits.

Ladies-Course

Neat casual dress is required.

No sporting shoes, thongs or sandals or singlets.

Ladies - Club House

Neat casual attire is required at all times. 

No sport shoes, thongs, brief or beach shorts, dirty work wear, overalls, tank or siglet tops, tee-shirts with bold advertising or tracksuits.

Note:

The dress requirements apply to all areas of the RACV Torquay Golf Club eg. locker room, pro-shop, course and practice range regardless of the reason for visiting the Club or the intended length of stay.

Etiquette

Players are expected to carry and use a sand bucket at all times.

Divots should be filled with sand and smoothed to the level of the playing surface.

Players are expected to repair ball marks on greens.

Players are expected to rake bunkers after use and to place the rake in the bunker in the direction of play.

When a player is making a stroke other players should remain silent and not stand in his/her line of vision.

There should be no play until the party in front is out of range.

After Holing out players should leave the green immediately.

Your position in the field is behind the group in front of you, not in front of the group behind you. Please call faster groups through.

Repeated practice swinging on tees is not permitted.

During practice rounds a limit of two (2) balls only shall be played at any time.

It is the duty of the player with the lowest handicap to ensure that etiquette is observed at all times.

The Pro Shop must be contacted for all cancellations.
