Tony Cavanagh is a AAA rated PGA member with 17 years experience. Tony began his career as a touring professional on the Australasian Tour, winning 13 events. He then took up the role as Head Professional at the Ayr Golf Club in North Queensland and commenced his position of Head Professional at Torquay Golf Club 2004.

After the clinic the kids then play in either a 3 or 6 hole special event where they can put into practice the skills they have just aquired. At the conclusion of the event there is a sausage sizzle and soft drink for the kids as well as awards and prizes for the days event. Cost is $6.00 and the clinic starts at 3.00pm and concludes around 5.30pm. Hire clubs available.

1. Ball position should be in front of centre to hit the ball on the upswing and get a topspin roll on the ball.
2. Eyes should be over the ball to help with alignment.
3. The putting stroke should be a short back-swing with a long follow through. This will help you accelerate through the ball.
4. Aim. Pick a spot 30cm in front of the ball.
